Kimberly Williams-Pasley joins Boston Legal as guest star

Thursday, August 28th, 2008 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I love Kimberly Williams, now known as Kimberly Williams-Pasley following her marriage to country star Brad Paisley. And she will have a guest starring role on Boston Legal this season. No word yet on who she will be playing or what the storyline will be. But it follows closely on the announcement that hysterical guest star Betty White is also returning as well.

Boston Legal is shaping up for a hot new season, especially since they are taking on the tobacco industry in the season premiere episode for season 5.

Boston Legal premieres the 5th season on September 22 at 10pm.

Betty White returning to Boston Legal

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008 on SpoilerBuzz.com

If you were hoping for another guest appearance by Catherine Piper, played by Betty White, you are in luck. Betty is returning to the set as a guest star, although the number of episodes and the storyline haven’t been announced yet. But if you can remember Catherine’s previous adventures at Boston Legal, you know it will be funny and memorable!

Boston Legal is back on ABC on September 22nd at 10pm. It’s new time slot is Monday nights after Dancing with the Stars and Samantha Who?

Scott Bakula & Candice Bergen reunite on Boston Legal

Monday, December 10th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

I admit, I LOVED Murphy Brown, and my favorite storyline was her romance with Peter Hunt played by Scott Bakula. But he has been cast - for only one episode though :( - as an old boyfriend of Candice Bergen’s character Shirley Schmidt. No other word yet on anything more about the storyline, but I am pumped for this!! I can’t wait, and I would love to see him cast as a recurring or regular character.

Yippee!

Grey’s Anatomy’s Mare Winningham guest stars on Boston Legal

Monday, August 27th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Mare Winningham, who most recently appeared on Grey’s Anatomy as Meredith’s stepmother, has joined Boston Legal. She will play a woman who murders the man who murdered her daughter.

Winningham, who had a recurring part on “Grey’s Anatomy” last season, will play a woman who solicits Alan Shore’s (fellow Emmy winner James Spader) advice on how to kill the man who murdered her daughter, but was found not guilty by reason of temporary insanity. No airdate has been set for her appearance.

When Alan refuses to help her, she kills the man anyway, then asks him to represent her at trial.

I was sad to see Mare’s character die on Grey’s Anatomy last season, so am happy to see she will be on Boston Legal, although it is too bad it isn’t for a more permanent character!

Boston Legal will get a special 90 minute season premiere (after all, they do have a whole lot of new cast members showing up!). The premiere will air Tuesday, September 25 at 9:30pm. The following week it will move to its usual Tuesday night 10pm slot.

Constance Zimmer not returning to Boston Legal?

Monday, June 18th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Apparently Constance Zimmer has been telling friends she will not be returning to Boston Legal next season. This comes hot on the heels of ABC announcing that John Larroquette of Night Court fame has joined the show (and am I the only one that thinks it would be hysterical if he came back playing Dan Fielding as he is today?) But according to Ausiello, it sounds as though she won’t be back.

More cast members joining Boston Legal next season

Saturday, June 16th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

On top of John Larroquette joining the law firm of Crane, Poole & Schmidt next season, the show has added two new people, according to the ABC press release.

In addition, Emmy Award winner Christian Clemenson, who portrays Jerry “Hands” Espenson a fellow lawyer and friend of Alan Shore’s (James Spader) who suffers from Aspergers syndrome — joins the series as a cast regular, and Tara Summers (”Dirt”) also comes on board as a young associate of the Boston offices.

I am so eager for the new season!

Night Court’s John Larroquette joins Boston Legal

Crane, Poole & Schmidt law offices are getting a new senior partner next season, and the partner will be played by none other than John Larroquette!

I admit, I used to love watching Larroquette and his womanizing ways on Night Court. And he will join the show as a lawyer who transfers into the Boston office.

They sure have managed to snag some great talent from older shows ala Star Trek and Murphy Brown, so why not Night Court. I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Someone on Boston Legal is leaving Crane, Poole & Schmidt

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 on SpoilerBuzz.com

bostonlegal.jpg

Gotta love all these teasers for February sweeps. The buzz has been going on since ABC released the Boston Legal description for the Februarty 13th episode, Fat Burner.

Alan once again defends Denny who is arrested, this time for illegally shipping human fat out of the country to create a new source of fuel production. Meanwhile, Clarence Bell must put on a brave face as he tries his first case a homicide with the help of Bethany Horowitz and Paul Lewiston, and a member of Crane Poole & Schmidt bids farewell.

So is someone leaving? Well, in my perspective, note it just says someone is leaving the firm, not leaving the show. So chances are good whoever is leaving will still be hanging around. But the question is, who is it?

Nia Long to guest star on Boston Legal for three episodes

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

Nia Long has been tapped to guest star in three episodes of Boston Legal this season. She will play Vanessa Walker, a disciplined, ambitious, micro-managing new associate from the New York office of Crane Poole & Schmidt. She will arrive in Boston to solicit Alan Shores help.

Fans will remember Nia in Big Momma’s House and Are We There Yet.

Boston Legal stars James Spader as Alan Shore, Julie Bowen as Denise Bauer, Mark Valley as Brad Chase, Rene Auberjonois as Paul Lewiston and Craig Bierko as Jeffrey Coho, Constance Zimmer as Claire Simms, with Candice Bergen as Shirley Schmidt and William Shatner as Denny Crane.

And is it just me, or does that sound like a potential set-up for a spin-off?

No word on airdates yet.

Constance Zimmer becomes series regular on Boston Legal

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006 on SpoilerBuzz.com

It looks like at least one of those two new attorneys on Boston Legal will be here to stay.  Constance Zimmer is now a series regular!  Viewers met Claire Simms last week, introduced as one of the new attorneys, to which Denny Crane (William Shatner) replied “Oh please, if there were new guys they’d have shown up in the season premiere”.  Gotta love those Denny-isms.

Constance Zimmer previously played an attorney on the short-lived ABC legal drama In Justice.

Boston Legal airs Tuesdays at 10pm on ABC.
